Allah says in His Holy Quran,
”And to Allah belong the best names, so invoke Him by them. And leave [the company of] those who practice deviation concerning His names. They will be recompensed for what they have been doing”
”وَلِلَّهِ الْأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَىٰ فَادْعُوهُ بِهَا ۖ وَذَرُوا الَّذِينَ يُلْحِدُونَ فِي أَسْمَائِهِ ۚ سَيُجْزَوْنَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ”
Al-A’raf:180
As a Muslim we believe in Allah, this is the first pillar of Islam. We are not allowed to say any attributes or names of Allah unless it was said by Allah in His Holy Quran or by the words of the the Prophet Muhammed. His Names are mentioned in Quran repeatedly, just to guide us to His attributes and to understand it. Through His Names, we can worship Him, understand His Decrees in this life, fear Him, and know everything about how we should speak to Allah. Simply, you as a human being can not worship a god that you have no idea about His attributes. How many Names of Allah that we know? Let us explore some of His Names and understand it.
Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said, “Allah has ninety-nine names, and whoever knows them will go to Paradise.” (Sahih Bukhari). By saying that we should enlighten our souls and minds with the knowledge of learning the Names of Allah, it doesn’t mean that we should only memorize it, but we should understand it and worship Allah in the light of the perception of these Names. Hundred of questions that go through your mind about the existence of this world and your existence can be answered when you study the Names of Allah. And in this case you can achieve the core of Servitude of Allah. The Hadith also says that learning Names of Allah will lead you to Jannah. If you love Allah, if you love the Names of Allah, and worship Allah on the way that He prescribed, you will end up going to Jannah InshAllah.

The All-Compassionate
The Most or Entirely Merciful
A name of Allah, it comes from the word ”Mercy”, means compassion, sympathy, and kind. He blesses His creation with all-embracing mercy, even the disbelievers, are we not blessed with the creation of the sun, the stars, the moon, the trees and millions of gifts around that Allah blessed us with. It is unimaginable that we can survive on this planet if Allah’s Creation is not with that perfection. Allah says ”كَتَبَ رَبُّكُمْ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ الرَّحْمَةَ” (Your Lord has decreed upon Himself mercy) Surah Al-Anam:54, His Mercy and Kindness is inclusive. Pray to Allah with Name of Al-Rahman (The All-Compassionate), supplicate to Allah and show your need and poverty to His Mercy and Tenderness. Learn how to practice mercy the self, people around you, and the animals. Remember this is a tiny portion of the Mercy of Allah.
